Cacao & Banana Porridge

This bowl of oats feels indulgent due to the combination of cacao and peanut butter but it is a warming and balanced breakfast option.
Cacao & Banana Porridge
Serves 1
Ingredients
-
1/4 cup rolled oats
-
1/4 cup Barley Plus porridge (or 1/4 cup rolled oats or quinoa flakes)
-
1 cup milk of choice
-
1/2 tsp cinnamon
-
1/2 tsp ground cardamon
-
2 tsp cacao
-
1 banana
-
2 tsp cacao nibs
-
2 tsp Mayvers cacao super spread (or any other peanut butter)
Method
-
Add oats, barley, milk, spices & cacao into a small pan

Mash 1/2 the banana and add to pan, stir to combine
-
Cook over medium heat for approximately 5 minutes, stirring regularly. Add a dash of milk at a time if needed until thick and creamy

Pour into bowl and top with remaining banana, cacao nibs and peanut butter
