Autumnal Porridge

Nothing beats a crisp cold morning hugging a bowl morning of comforting porridge. This flavour combo gives all the Autumn vibes.
Autumnal Porridge
Serves 1
Ingredients
1/2 cup rolled oats
1 cup (250ml milk of choice)
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp ground ginger
Pinch of salt
1 apple, 3/4 grated and the remaining 1/4 sliced for topping
Handful of walnuts or pecans
Maple syrup to drizzle
Method
Add oats, milk, spices and salt to a small pan
Heat on medium-high heat, stirring consistently for 2-3 minutes until the oats begin to thicken
Add grated apple to the pan
Stirring through until desired consistency/thickness achieved
Pour into a bowl and top with sliced apple, walnuts and a generous drizzle of maple syrup
