Autumnal Porridge

Nothing beats a crisp cold morning hugging a bowl morning of comforting porridge. This flavour combo gives all the Autumn vibes.

Autumnal Porridge

Serves 1


  • 1/2 cup rolled oats

  • 1 cup (250ml milk of choice)

  • 1 tsp cinnamon

  • 1/2 tsp ground ginger

  • Pinch of salt

  • 1 apple, 3/4 grated and the remaining 1/4 sliced for topping

  • Handful of walnuts or pecans

  • Maple syrup to drizzle


  1. Add oats, milk, spices and salt to a small pan

  2. Heat on medium-high heat, stirring consistently for 2-3 minutes until the oats begin to thicken

  3. Add grated apple to the pan

  4. Stirring through until desired consistency/thickness achieved

  5. Pour into a bowl and top with sliced apple, walnuts and a generous drizzle of maple syrup
