Chocolate Peanut Butter Smoothie

You know how much I love peanut butter! This smoothie hits the spot and makes a refreshing and delicious snack. You can swap the peanut butter for another type of nut butter or tahini. If you make it thick, you can use this as the base for a smoothie bowl and top with granola, coconut flakes and a sprinkle of seeds or nuts. 

Chocolate Peanut Butter Smoothie

Makes 1

Ingredients

• 1 frozen banana, sliced
• 2 tbs rolled oats
• 1 heaped tsp cacao powder
• 1 heaped tsp peanutbutter (or other nut butter)
• 6-8 large ice cubes pre crushed
• 1/2 cup - 1 cup milk of choice. Start with 1/2 cup and add more to achieve your desired consistency. I like smoothies icy and thick!

Method

  1. Add all ingredients into a blender or food processor

  2. Blend, adding milk in small amounts to achieve desired texture 

  3. Pour into your favourite glass and enjoy!
