Cacao Bliss Balls

Make these as part of your weekly meal prep to take to work during the week!

Cacao Bliss Balls

Makes 8

Ingredients

  • 15 dried dates (approx. 80g)

  • 2 tbs date water

  • 1/2 cup oats

  • 1 cup almond meal

  • 2 tbs cacao powder

  • 1 tbs maple syrup

  • 2 tbs coconut oil, melted

  • 1/4 cup shredded coconut, extra for coating

  • Pinch of salt

Method

  1. Place dates in a small bowl or a mug and cover with boiling water for 2 minutes to soften

  2. Blitz oats in a food processor to make oat flour (if you don't have a food processor, you can leave them as they are)

  3. Add dates to a mixing bowl with remaining ingredients, including the 2 tbs of the date water

  4. Using hands, mix ingredients to combine, breaking up dates to help mixture come together

  5. Roll into 8 balls

  6. Spread some coconut on a flat surface or plate

  7. Roll balls through coconut to decorate

  8. Refrigerate for 30 minutes before serving

Balls can be kept in the fridge for up to two weeks, or in the freezer for one month
