Resource List for Eating Disorders

Created by Talia Cecchele

I am always asked what resources are available for eating disorder recovery, from books and podcasts to websites. I've compiled a list of my favourite resources I recommend to my clients and their families which are educational and offer inspiration for recovery. This blog will continue to be updated as I find new resources to best support you.

BEAT - eating disorder charity (UK)

BEAT's mission is to offer the help and support for anyone suffering form an eating disorder and their carers. Beat has a free helpline open all year round from 9am–8pm during the week, and 4pm–8pm on weekends and bank holidays

National Eating Disorders Association (NEDA) (Australia)

NEDA provides support to those affected by eating disorders and their families with a helpline, screening tool and resources.

Inside Out Institute (Australia)

The institute offers a platform of useful resources for you to know all about your eating

disorder, a tool to help you identify your symptoms and guide you to the appropriate

resources and quality treatment.

Butterfly Foundation (Australia)

Butterfly provides evidence-based services for the support and treatment of people

living with eating disorders in Australia. Helplines are available over telephone call,

online or via email from 9am-midnight (AEST) every day of the week.

Centre for Clinical Innovation (CCI)

The Centre for Clinical Interventions (CCI) in Australia offers a range of

specialist clinical psychology services. Here you can find various resources which can

help you identify and deal with a range of mental health conditions, including eating disorder workbooks and resources.

How Far is Too Far?

This is an early intervention resource which can help you identify any early signs of an

eating disorder including body image and eating concerns. It also provides guidance

for accessing specialist care as soon as possible and additional useful information.
