Chocolate Crackles

A childhood favourite! I have (as I do) tweaked the ingredients to lower the sugar and saturated fat content. No copha or added sugar in this crackle! These are great to take to an event as they are so easy to make with only 5 ingredients and you can just double the portions if needed. 

Chocolate Crackles

Makes 12-16

Ingredients

  • 1 cup puffed wheat (can use puffed quinoa or rice if gluten free)

  • 1/2 cup flaked almonds, roasted

  • 1 tbs coconut oil

  • 100g dark chocolate melted

  • 1/3 cup coconut flakes

Method

  1. Line a 12-16 capacity muffin pan with paper cases

  2. Add all ingredients in a bowl and mix until puffed wheat is coated

  3. Spoon into paper cases

  4. Refrigerate for 1 hour to set and keep refrigerates until close to serving time

Tip: to roast almonds, cook in a dry pan on low-medium heat. Stirring frequently until both sides are brown
