Cacao & Tahini Biscuits

If you love a chewy cookie and are looking for something that is higher in fibre and lower in added sugar than your average packaged biscuit then this is for you! Great option for an on the go breaky and this recipe is peanut, wheat, egg and dairy free for anyone struggling with dietary intolerances or allergies! .

Cacao & Tahini Biscuits

Makes 12

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of oats

  • 1 cup of almond meal,

  • 4 tbs cacao powder

  • 1 mashed banana

  • 1/2 cup of shredded coconut

  • 2 tbs of date syrup (can use maple syrup or honey)

  • 2 teaspoon of cinnamon

  • 2 tbs tahini.

  • 2 tbs plant based milk e.g. oat, almond, soy (or water)

  • 1 tbs coconut oil

Method

  1. Pre-heat oven to 180°c

  2. Add all ingredients in a large bowl and combine (best to use your hands)

  3. Using 1 heaped tablespoon form cookie shapes and lay on a tray lined with baking paper

  4. Cook for 10-15 minutes or until the edges just start to brown

  5. Let cool and drizzle with tahini or melted chocolate
